EDUARD HALLBERG

Eduard Hallberg, born on August 6, 2003, is a rising star in Finnish alpine skiing and a proud representative of the Fearless Finns Alpine National Ski Team.

The 22-year-old has made remarkable strides in his career, particularly in slalom and giant slalom, showcasing both talent and determination in the World Cup.

From the town of Sipoo in Southern Finland, the Porvoo Slalom -66 talent worked his way to the National Team via the Norwegian Oppdal Alpin Elite ski gymnasium.

Eddie achieved first international milestones by securing third place in the 2023–24 European Cup slalom standings.

This included two event wins and several strong finishes, earning him a spot in the World Cup slalom circuit. Additionally, he has won silver in giant slalom at the Junior World Championships and holds multiple Finnish national titles.His performances have helped Finland secure additional World Cup slots in slalom, reflecting his broader impact on the sport.

Eddie scored his first World Cup points in front of thousands of cheering Finnish fans. In only his 2nd World Cup slalom race, he placed 8th at the Gurgl World Cup race. Definitely one of the best breakthrough results on the World Cup tours history. Eddie placed 12th at the slalom race of the 2025 World Championships, finished amongst the top 30 in the Slalom Cup standings and won the FIS Longines Rising Star -award, which is awarded to the best U23 male athlete on the tour.

Eddie skied to an 8th position in his first ever World Cup slalom run at Levi.

Eddie began season 2025-2026 with a bang by achieving his first World Cup podium in front of the amazing home crowd in Levi. After placing 5th in the first run, Eddie held his cool and skied a fearless second run bringing Finland back on the podium after 13 years. What an exciting season this will be!
